Skiers ski two days a week, Saturday and Sunday, with certified coaches dedicated to this group. Training days are based on fun first. Athletes train in race courses and free skiing to develop high-level ski skills and racing. Skiers will train in Slalom, Giant Slalom, and Skillsquest courses to challenge and help grow their skiing and racing abilities. Many portions of ski days will also be dedicated to directed skill-based drills to fine-tune skills and abilities on the slope. Video will be taken and analyzed with a coach to understand their skiing further and improve. Athletes in this program should participate in either the Development program or Red Lodge Mountain’s alpine training team before registering for this program. Skiers must be able to ski blue runs confidently.
