Nordic Powder Seekers

Build Skills. Explore the Trails. Love Nordic Skiing.

Ages 7–13 | Mondays & Wednesdays | December 4–February 28

Powder Seekers is the next step for young Nordic skiers who are ready to build on their foundational skills, spend more time on snow, and discover more of what Nordic skiing has to offer.

Through games, skill development, and plenty of skiing, athletes learn both Skate and Classic techniques while building confidence, fitness, and independence on their skis.

Along the way, they'll have opportunities to use those skills in fun races, local events, and—most importantly—while skiing with friends and family.

Learn, Play & Progress

Powder Seekers keeps skiing fun while introducing young athletes to more purposeful skill development.

Throughout the season, athletes will:

  • Train two days per week
  • Develop both Skate and Classic skiing techniques
  • Learn how to wax skis and care for their equipment
  • Set individual goals and work toward them throughout the season
  • Build endurance, balance, coordination, and confidence
  • Experience racing in a fun and supportive environment
  • Ski and grow alongside teammates

The goal is to develop strong, capable Nordic skiers who are excited to keep learning.

Is Your Skier Ready for Powder Seekers?

Powder Seekers is designed for athletes ages 7–13 who have already developed basic Nordic skiing skills.

Athletes should have completed approximately two years of Penguin League, Kids League, or another learn-to-ski program, or receive coach approval to participate.

Age-group categories include U08, U10, U12, and U14.

Not sure if your child is ready? A Silver Run coach can help determine the best placement.
